Dongfang College of Shandong University of Finance and Economics is an independent college jointly founded by Shandong University of Finance and Economics and Shandong Gold Group. Shandong University of Finance and Economics is a well-known financial university in China, jointly built by the Shandong Provincial Government，the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance of China. Shandong Gold Group is a leading gold mining group in China, with a subsidiary listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. Dongfang College is located in Taian, a popular tourist city in Eastern China.

The School of International Business of Dongfang College is committed to training applied international business and foreign language talents to serve the development of national and local foreign trade undertakings. The school has 3 undergraduate programs, namely International Economics and Trade, International Business, English and Japanese. There are 600 students studying at the school currently.

The teaching staff of the school consists of 32 full- time teachers, including 4 professors, 6 associate professors, 22 lecturers. In addition, the school employs part-time lectures from foreign trade enterprises to give lectures or to guide the practice of students on internship.
